Review
Wow! What a different book than what I expected, but I enjoyed it. I love that the heroine is a woman that have more curves than your average female lead. Because of that, she's a shy girl a little unsure of what she's been missing. I love that she takes a chance and becomes someone more than she ever expected. Jackson takes notices of her immediately and feels the need to protect her and teach her pleasure she never knew she could experience. Although their relationship is sweet, intense, and passionate things don't end as you would expect. There is no happy ending for this couple, but you can't help but understand the reason behind it.
Shannon tells a story that is pure, fierce, and full of heart. She takes a chance and gives us an unexpected ending, but for this book it works. Watching Maggie evolve throughout this story is endearing and enchanting. And the chemistry with Jackson is stunning with flames flying off the pages. This was my first book by Shannon, and I look forward to reading more from her.
